Nordic Urban Living Lab projects
Nordic Urban Living Labs projects
The Nordic Smart City Network collaborated on the Nordic Innovation financed project Nordic Urban Living Labs. The project ran from March 2018 – 31st March 2020.
The focus of the project was to develop best practices for living labs and urban development. This was done by combining labs and activities in the five Nordic countries and establishing best practices and sharing potentials, to create new possibilities such as scalability for Nordic innovative companies and attraction of global investment.
The project emphasized collaboration and sharing of best practice among the Nordic partner cities. Five thematic projects were kickstarted in the fall 2018 and ran until March 2020. Each project was run by a lead city where the cities themselves ran an innovation process, testing the project in the city’s living lab. Each project had team cities which followed the process and shared their knowledge. The Living Lab projects were a great possibility to share best practices and living lab methods while at the same time promoting smart solutions and dissemination.
Some of the collaboration projects were seeking inspiration and experiences from outside the Nordics and all of them gathered cities together working on the same themes. Also methods of living lab work and public private collaboration were shared.
